The Denny Vegan Range

Denny, is one of South Africa's best mushroom suppliers, from white to brown to exotic mushrooms, sauces, soups and now a whole new vegan range! The products are quite well priced, easy to cook and absolutely delicious! If I could have a life time supply of this range, I'd be the happiest vegan alive!

Sausages:


These are hands down the yummiest, tastiest, best textured and spiced vegan sausages I've ever had! They don't have an overpowering mushroom taste as one might think, you know it's mushrooms but it tastes like a sausage. I just have too much to say about these amazing sausages, they are simply divine!

I didn't feel like hot dogs, so I made a mouth watering open sandwich with my Denny sausages instead, check it out:


Ingredients:


- Denny sausages

- Albany seed bread

- B-well mayonnaise

- 175g cherry tomatoes - 2x onions - 1/2 red pepper - spinach & rocket

- Spices of choice

- coconut oil as butter


Method:

  1. Slice the onions into thin rings and chop up the tomatoes & pepper.

  2. In a medium pan fry the onions with a little oil until softened (add some sugar to caramelize) then add the tomatoes & peppers.

  3. Cook until softened & add some spices.

  4. Fry up your Denny sausages as per package instructions.

  5. Toast your bread, stack with the spinach, rocket & mayo.

  6. Once the onions, tomatoes and pepper is cooked until perfection, remove from heat and check the sausages.

  7. Once the sausages are ready, slice them in half length ways and place on the toast.

  8. Add your relish and dig in!

Biltong:


The absolute perfect snack; it's healthy, protein packed, nutrient filled and super tasty. The resemblance to meat biltong is insane, a very similar texture and the spices create that biltong flavor almost every South African grew up loving.

Crisps:


I planned on eating half of the packet and saving the rest for later, but they were so damn delicious that I ate the whole thing! Nothing to feel guilty about either because it's pure plant power goodness! Like nothing I've tried before, I was really impressed with them, I might've like them even more than the biltong!

Burger Patties:


I've been seeing other reviews on Facebook about the patties being too mushy and over salty, that's just not the case for me! These patties are incredible; the texture is meaty and the flavors just explode. These are one of the better burger patties I've had the pleasure of eating in my 2.2 years of being vegan!


Burger Ingredients:


Denny burger patties

Burger rolls

Cucumber

Tomato

B-well vegan mayonnaise

Lettuce

Sprouts


Method:

  1. Fry up the patties as per package instructions.

  2. Slice up the cucumber and tomato

  3. Stack up your burger with the cucumber, tomato, lettuce, mayo and sprouts.

  4. Once the patties are ready, stack it on your burger.

  5. Dig in and enjoy!

The last part of the range, which we haven't tried yet because the local Spar hasn't had it in stock yet, is the mince. I am extremely eager to try it out after being so blown away with this vegan range! I definitely rate Denny mushroom vegan range a solid 11/10 ! Try it out for yourself, you won't regret it ;)
