About EnviroVegan
EnviroVegan was created by a South African women for like-minded South African people, started in January 2018 and launched in January 2019. The website has undergone many changes since the launch, as the founder went through changes of her own, and with her growth the website bloomed into something bigger than originally dreamed of.
The Founder:
My name is Kyla Gaia, I started my journey in March 2014 when I decided to no longer consume the flesh of sentient beings. I started looking at the world through a set of freshly awakened eyes after watching the documentary Cowspiracy and in July 2018 I stopped using and consuming all animal products and became "vegan".
With my new vision I expanded and poured all of my creativity and love into EnviroVegan, creating a community where people can feel safe asking questions, to find the answers they need and to get the guidance needed to live life as harmoniously with nature as possible. I want to use my experience of the transition to vegan to help you with your experience, to hopefully make things easier for you.
With not much support from my family and no friends that were on the same path as myself, I was forced to do it alone and find myself much stronger for it! So I would like to help all of those who don't have the support that they need to make the life changing transition to vegan!
Vision:
Our vision is to educate, give a helping hand and to open up new worlds and ideas for you! We have a whole lot of information to make it easier for you to make the very challenging transition of cutting meat and animal products from your diet and life. EnviroVegan is about supporting South African businesses, women empowerment and sharing information to educate to create knowledge, which is power. We want to try create a South African community of like minded individuals who strive to live their lives as free from cruelty towards other sentient beings as possible. To have open arms to those who believe differently and to show them what it all really means.
