Almost all commercial toothpastes are tested on animals, contain animal products of some kind and contain harsh toxins and chemicals which are absolutely terrible for your health, short and long term. You may think that because you don't swallow the toothpaste you're safe, that's just not true. Not only does your mouth absorb these toxins into the bloodstream, but these toxins can negatively effect your gut microbiome and can disrupt the flora in our mouths! (https://experiencelife.com/article/safe-toothpaste/).
So with my Bamboozles toothbrush I tried out Gaia Organics non-fluoride tooth powder, and wow!
Simply wet the toothbrush for the tooth powder to stick to the bristles, get enough on there and start brushing!
Vegan, Beauty Without Cruelty accredited and made with 100% natural ingredients. The powder texture was a bit odd at first but with a bit of water it smooths out and was so amazing to brush my teeth with! It also has a lovely taste that leaves my mouth feeling fresh and my teeth are looking so clean and whiter!
Just some of the awesome ingredients are;
- Activated Charcoal Powder - Bicarbonate of Soda - Green tea
- Centella extract - Comfrey Allantoin - Magnesium Peroxide
With essential oils of;
- Lemon - Thyme -Peppermint
- Tea Tree - Spearmint - Cinnamon
And there's still a few more plant power ingredients on the list, this is really some incredible herbal oral care powder right here!
While there are vegan Beauty Without Cruelty accredited toothpastes out there, a lot of them still contain those toxins which I avoid. So this is the perfect real 100% natural, chemical and toxin free tooth powder for me!
Go to Gaia Organic's website to see more information on their incredible tooth powder and while you're there, why not just buy yourself some too ;)
